Obviously, thank you to Stardoll for just being an awesome website for anyone to be stylish and share their passion for fashion with people all over the world! Home For The Holidays.
I sincerly wish I had more to post. Maybe I should turn this into more of a graphics blog so I’ll be able to post random stardoll related posts during boring classes, haha! I have still been making graphics like crazy, although they’re all assignments that take up 90% of my time. I honestly still cannot believe I was accepted into a freakin amazing digital arts school. It’s awesome. The good part for stardoll though, is that I’ve learned so much more about photoshop & illustrator that I didn’t know before.
I’ve been home since Friday night & I’ve barely left my laptop since. I cannot believe how much I’ve missed all my stardoll pals and how much I’ve missed making stardoll graphics. Which is why I have FINALLY got Breathe Magazine back on track! Kinda exciting huh?! I’m aiming for a January release, so I had to do some re-arranging to make the summer issue a bit more “wintery” haha.
Now my winter break has officially become my “stardoll redemption period.” So caution to all. x
College Life.
Hey! Whoaa. Okay. My life has been a whirlwind the past three weeks. I moved out of my parent’s house & in with my aunt, to a town 3 hours away from the only house I’ve ever known. I am enrolled in college and just finished my second week. It’s so thrilling and terrifying at the same time. Plus, I have quite a bit of pieces of my stardoll life that I am determined to stick to and finish.
With Breathe and Diva By Gwen nearly completed and ready to unveil, I have another project that I am stoked to announce soon and get started with it. It will involve something for anyone and everyone who is an active member of our little dollywood community. Hint: Graphic Designers should be just as excited as I am and hopefully willing to participate.
As a side note, I was doing my blogroll this morning and I came across our lovely media parter, Harmony By Elle’s new spoiler! It is absolutely GORGEOUS. Of course I’m going to re-post it here & be sure to go visit and follow her site by clicking the logo on the sidebar. Can’t wait to see the full collection Elle! (:
Beauty Week.
Hello! I wanted to post a new graphic that I made for the upcoming Stardoll Beauty Week project (brought to us by AislinVictory) .. She asked me to make this graphic & I know I’ve been turning down a lot of requests lately but this was for a really good cause that I support and I think every one of you should too! Stardoll user AudreyxBeth was chosen as the face of Beauty Week.. she has such a beautiful flaw called hecterochromia, which causes her eyes to be two different colors.. Hair Expo.
I may have mentioned before in a previous post that for me, the “funnest” graphic to make is hairstyles. That’s usually my favorite part of any graphic. See, my computer was low on space storage, and I figured I would go through all my folders and get rid of all the junk I don’t need. While doing that, I came across a few hairstyles that were basically collecting dust in their little corner of the hard drive. So why not give them a little limelight?! This my mini “Hair Exposition” featuring styles made for friends and different projects I’m apart of. Hope you like them!
Lisa Couture Spoiler!
Well, now that I will be starting college the first week of October, I have been busting my hump working on and finishing up graphics. I finally have one that I can actually show everyone! It’s the new spoiler for our summer collection at Lisa Couture! The outfit was designed by Lisa and our model is Robyn! I kept the spoiler really cute and simple & summerish. I’m pretty proud of all the background stuff, considering backgrounds are usually what frustrate me the most! Anyways, what do y’all think?! Anything I could improve on?!
I’m trying to think of things I could do to make this blog more fun or more interactive. Any ideas? I was thinking of opening up a “freebies” page.. I have loads of stardoll clothes and suiteshop items that I have cut-out for various graphics. It’s not like I can lay claim to them because I didn’t make them.. but maybe it would save other graphic designers some time if they could just save the images as .pngs and put them in their designs?! Same for the “hair salon” idea.. I may charge for some hairstyles.. but if I charged one hairstyle with 5 different shades for around 30sd, do you think that would be fair?!
